What is
the procedure if I lose my access card or locker key?
Notify the steward or Administrator immediately for your protection.
There is a $10.00 replacement fee for the locker keys or access
card.
Where can
I receive credit for my monthly food minimums?
In MacTavish's, the Club Room, designated events by notification
and the beverage carts on the course.
Do I receive
credit for bringing in new members?
Yes, you will receive food and beverage gift certificates (does
not apply to minimums) upon written notice to the Saint Andrews
Club staff.
What is
a Saint Andrews Club "Major"?
Saint Andrews Club has approximately 30 tournament events during
the golf season. A list of "major" events are listed on
page 16 followed by descriptions of each event. You must register
for each "major" in advance. The registration book is
on the bag room door. Most Wednesday events (see calendar on page
24) are considered "minors". Members sign up for those
in the Club Room the day of the event.
How do
I sign up for a "major" tournament?
The tournament sign up book is a three ring binder, which is located
next to the Steward area by the North entrance to the Pro Shop.
Sign your name and record the date next to the desired event..
When is
the last day I can sign up for a "major" event?
Monday for a Saturday event, Tuesday for a Sunday event and the
previous Friday for Wednesday event. If you should miss these times
and still wish to golf please call the Director at (763) 315-8511
for possible openings due to cancellations. The tournament committee
sets up an event four days in advance of the tournament.
Where do
I pay for green fees for the event?
Pay all green fees in the Pro Shop unless the event includes a social
at which time a fee including green fees will be charged to your
account and recorded at the registration table in the Club Room.
How many
people can sign up for a tournament? Is there a limit?
There is generally no limit to the number of people who can play
in an event.
If I'm
on the waiting list, how do I know if I am in the event?
Simply by calling the Pro Shop at 763-315-8550 or by calling Jack
Umland at 763-315-8511
How and
when can I find my tournament tee time?
Call 763-493-8098 and select the Saint Andrews Club Information
Line (option) on the voice mail system. The names of the players
(and their tee times) that have been added to the tournament from
the waiting list will be recorded on the Saint Andrews Club Information
Line. Please call Friday afternoon to determine if you are in the
tournament. It is a member's responsibility to call. If you sign
up on the waiting list and are subsequently placed in the tournament
and you do not show you are treated as a no-show.
How are
tournament pairings organized?
For an individual event, unless tournament format requires differently,
players are paired as closely as possible with players of a similar
handicap. Special requests will be honored where tournament format
is not compromised.
When will
tournament results be posted?
Tournament results are posted in the locker room and Club Room within
two days following the event.
If I win
or place in an event, how and when can I collect my prize?
You may pick up your gift certificate in the Pro Shop generally
7 days following the tournament. If your prize is something other
than a gift certificate please contact the Director at (763) 315-8511.
What is
a proximity?
A tee shot closest to the pin on Par 3's. Every Wednesday event
this year will be included for a fall shootout. No entry fee is
required. There may be proximity side games in some events.
What is
a skin?
A skin is a wager. You are placing your odds on the probability
that you will have the lowest gross score or net score on an individual
hole for the event you have entered. No one receives a skin on a
hole that is tied.
If I win
a skin or gaming event, how and when can I collect my prize?
From time to time, members may run a skins or gaming event in conjunction
with a SAC event. Skins and gaming prizes are generally determined
when the tournament is scored and typically can be collected within
4 days after the tournament. Please check your locker or see the
Director, Jack Umland.
What if
I must withdraw from an event - more than 48 hours before the event?
Call the tournament chairman listed in the directory. If you are
unable to reach the tournament chairman, call the Saint Andrews
Club office at 763-315-8511.
What happens
if I am a no show for an event?
You will be sent an invoice for your green fees from the Saint Andrews
Club who in turn has to pay the City of Brooklyn Park for the green
fees. You will be unable to sign up or participate in future Saint
Andrews Club events until the "no show" payment is received.
Who enters
my tournament scores in the handicap computer?
The handicap computer is located in the Pro Shop. The Director or
his representative enters only your tournament score in the computer.
You must enter all other scores in the computer. Note: your patron
card number must accompany your scorecard. Your card will not be
entered unless you have done so.
What is
the policy for inclement weather?
In the case of inclement weather, it is the responsibility of the
Pro Shop to decide if the course is deemed unplayable. It is best
to assume all rounds will be played when scheduled. Only the designated
professional for the day in the Pro Shop makes the official call.
Do I have
reciprocity with other clubs?
Yes, you have dining and charging privileges at most private clubs
in the four state area and full golf and dining privileges at Northland
Country Club in Duluth. You may charge to your Saint Andrews Club
account by logging your club charge number, address and signature
at these facilities. We also have reciprocity with clubs in Charlotte,
N. C. and London, England.
May I make
fine dining reservations at other clubs?
Yes, as a member of Saint Andrews Club you may make reservations
by calling the Executive Director, at Edinburgh USA with the appropriate
information.
